This week , amongst a million other things, I've been busy judging the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARDs 2021. I was honoured to have been selected in the jury and have to say thus far the process has been both enjoyable and streamlined. The iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD recognises outstanding young design talents on an international level and I've had the opportunity to review over 100 entries from all over the world,
This is the 2nd round with the first For the first round of 2021, almost 5,300 submitted concepts from 49 countries have been judged by 43 international experts from various fields of design.
So far the standard has been high and i''ve seen some exiting future-oriented concepts and the aim of the competition categories correspond to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. address the most pressing challenges facing our society.
In these challenging times it's so refreshing to see that students around the world are taking up the mantle and rising to the challenges that we as a society are facing.
