Celebrating Cultural Heritage: Beijing Opera Art International Poster Biennale at the School of Art, Design & Media

I am pleased to announce the upcoming Beijing Opera Art International Poster Biennale, organised by myself and Assistant Professor Jesse Thompson, at the School of Art, Design & Media at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. This event promises to be a celebration of artistry, heritage, and cultural exchange.

Scheduled to commence on March 22, 2024, the Biennale will showcase a curated selection of award-winning posters, each exemplifying the influence of Beijing Opera on global visual culture. Through the lens of internationally acclaimed designers, visitors will have the opportunity to explore themes of tradition, innovation, and the enduring legacy of this cherished art form.

The opening reception, set to take place on March 22 at 6:00 PM, will be graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Li Xu, the Founder of Beijing Opera Art, alongside other distinguished guests. This event presents a unique opportunity for artistic appreciation and cultural exchange as attendees immerse themselves in the captivating world of Beijing Opera Art.

Special thanks to Michelle Ho, ADM Gallery Director, for her invaluable support and for the generous sponsorship from ADM to host this event.

Following the opening reception, the exhibition will be open to visitors from March 22 to April 4, 2024, providing ample opportunity for art enthusiasts and scholars alike to delve into the rich culture of Beijing Opera-inspired poster design.

I cordially invite you to join us at NTU's School of Art, Design & Media for this enriching experience, celebrating creativity and innovation in poster design while paying homage to the timeless beauty of Beijing Opera. Mark your calendars, and I look forward to welcoming you to this esteemed event!
