SELF-PROMOTION

Lisa Branding and Book Design

I devised my own personal brand identity based around the premise that I make cool stuff with pencils!

Using a predominately organic colour palette to compliment a typographic logo, the Lisa brand is intended to be fresh and versatile. It is my hope that this identity visually communicates the message that, as a graphic artist, even though my work sometimes takes on a digital guise, conceptually and creatively my process revolves around the humble pencil & paper. Drawing and sketching out my ideas is, and will continue to be, an imperative aspect of my creative process.

The book, Graphic Design Education, Applying Basic Theory & Process to Design Practice is intended to lead design students through a practical based course by underpinning the necessary theoretical understanding that successful graphic design demands. Graphic design is an ever evolving discipline and this book aims to give students the tools to follow a design process with fluidity rather than rigidity. Each chapter covers fundamental basics of design principles and the content flows along with given assessments, guiding students through practical activities which not only aid the design process but also assist in the successful completion of projects and presentations.
